Welcome to my February Newsletter xx.

I can’t quite believe January has been and gone quite yet but exciting plans are already in place for this month and bookings for craft fairs and markets are being made so the calendar is filling up.

Of course I can’t mention February and not mention Valentines Day. We don’t really need an excuse to show our family and friends how much we love them – however difficult the past two years have been it has certainly been a huge reminder of how precious the gifts of compassion, love and kindness are but if you are looking for a little token or thoughtful gift I have a few ideas in my Etsy shop or visit in person my stockists in Suffolk or the Isle of Man.

If you haven’t discovered the delights of online craft, vintage and makes at https://etsy.com yet, I can thoroughly recommend taking a look at their website. I have bought many a gift from wonderful businesses on this site. I must admit, I tend to buy from people based in the UK but you will find absolutely stunning makes from people all over the world. Just type what you are looking for into the search box and wait to see the delights available.

Staying with the theme of being thoughtful, I couldn’t resist applying to take part in the following event:

Random Acts of Kindness Market – online 17th Feb.10am -10pm

A one day event where artists/makers offer a specially made item which they will wrap and send with your own message to the recipient of your choice for whatever reason you fancy – a little bit like receiving a hug in the post!

I have created some unique hanger card designs for this event, a couple of which are pictured above – the piece of glass can be kept long after the occasion is over as a little keepsake. At a special price of £9 including postage (within the UK) they will only be on sale on the 17th February via my Etsy shop. Information about the event will be posted on my Instagram account @littlelimedesignco as we get nearer to the event.

Meet my Studio Assistant

Thought it was time to introduce you to my faithful Studio Companion.

This is Hugo, our 12 year old Cockerpoo who loves nothing better than checking out what’s going on in the studio.

He loves being allowed in to meet everyone but I have to be careful that no glass cutting is taking place as we don’t want him getting small pieces of glass in his paws.

He often has to stay content with keeping Mr F company whilst workshops are taking place but if you’d like to meet him, please just ask – he loves a fuss and a tickle

Themed Workshop Sessions

I’m thrilled to let you know my ideas for ‘themed’ workshop makes are taking shape.

This Large Round Coaster design incorporates using enamel paints and large frit pieces in the colours of your choice. The whole piece is fired on a ‘Full Fuse’ cycle to ensure the surface is smooth and flat. The coaster is perfect for a table center piece or as a trivet for a vase of flowers and comes complete with little bumper feet to keep it from slipping or sliding around.

If you fancy booking a ‘Round Coaster’ Workshop just contact me with your chosen date and number of participants. The cost is £35 including all tuition, refreshments and finishing.

NEW

I wanted to introduce the idea of a Customer ‘Make of the Month’ in my newsletters as I have honestly been blown away by the creative talents of those of you that have been in the Studio and want to share these wonderful makes.

I know it’s going to be a very difficult choice each month but I’m starting with a wonderful ‘rainbow’ style allium design made by a lovely lady who works so hard for the NHS. I just love the colours, the sparkle and the wonderful message rainbows have for many people xx Hope you like it as much as I do.

Finally….

Find Me – Come and Say ‘Hello’

I will be attending these events in person this month if you fancy coming along xx

Boxford Farmer’s Market 27th Feb 10 – 1pm – a collection of wonderful food, produce and craft stalls held in Boxford Village Hall on the last Sunday of every month. This will be the first market of 2022 and will be a really lovely excuse to browse and shop amongst truly independent businesses.

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading my little snippets of news this month and I will be back with my March Newsletter next month xx

Many Best Wishes for a fantastic February, Veronica xx
